Thazhuthala Gajolsavam is celebrated on the tenth day of the annual Avittam festival. Renowned tuskers from across Kerala gather adorned with golden 'Nettipattam' (caparisons), colorful parasols (Muthukkuda), Venchamaram, and Aalavattam. The festival includes Ananeerattu (elephant bath), Anayootu (elephant feast), Chamaya Pradarshanam (ornament exhibition), and a two-kilometer-long grand procession accompanied by Panchavadyam and Pandi Melam.
